Programming Instructions for a Remote Starter
A remote starter enables a vehicle owner to start a vehicle from a distance to warm the car up. For a remote starter to work properly with a specific vehicle, it must be programmed so that the receiver recognizes the remote starter key.
Instructions
1. Press and hold down the brake pedal. All doors must be completely closed.
2. Insert the key into the ignition and consecutively turn the vehicle on and off three times. Remove the key from the ignition and remove your foot from the brake pedal. If the process was completely correctly, there will be three subsequent beeping sounds from the code box receiver beneath the dashboard. The code box will have been installed in the vehicle when manufactured and does not require user installation.
3. Press the "Lock" button on the remote starter one time and the receiver box will beep once to indicate that it has been programmed. Press the "Trunk" button one time and the box will beep again. Press the "Unlock" button one time and the box will beep once again.
4. Press the "Start" button one time and the receiver box will beep to indicate that it has been programmed. Press and release the brake pedal once more to signify to the receiver that the programming process is complete.
